Order statuses
What each order status means for buyers and suppliers.
For: Buyers and suppliers
Placing an order sends a request. It is confirmed only after every supplier on it accepts the exact terms and Atlantis approves them. See Protected Payments.
| Buyer sees | Supplier sees | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting for supplier confirmation | Your confirmation is needed | The request is with the supplier(s), who have a deadline to accept or reject it |
| Supplier confirmed — Atlantis is approving | Accepted — awaiting Atlantis approval | Every supplier accepted the exact terms; Atlantis does a final review |
| Being reviewed by Atlantis | You rejected these terms | A supplier couldn't supply as requested; Atlantis proposes changed terms or cancels |
| Confirmed | Confirmed — preparing | Approved by Atlantis; payment details are sent and goods are prepared |
| Your acceptance needed | Approved — waiting for the buyer | The terms changed after you ordered (for example a delivery charge); nothing ships until the buyer accepts |
| Shipped | Shipped | On the way; tracking appears when the carrier reference is added |
| Delivered | Delivered | The buyer confirmed delivery |
| Cancelled | Cancelled | The order won't be fulfilled; reserved stock is released |
Orders placed before supplier confirmation was introduced keep their earlier statuses.
Buyers receive an email and a notification at each status change, unless order update emails are turned off.
