How the cart checks stock

The cart compares each line with the supplier's current stock, and stock is reserved when you place the order.

For: Buyers

Stock is counted in cases. If a line asks for more than is available, it shows "Only N cases in stock — up to M {unit}." with a link to set the quantity to the maximum.
If you have several lines for the same product, they share its stock.
Checkout unlocks when every line fits the available stock.
Items that are no longer available can be cleared with Remove unavailable.
When you place the order, the ordered cases are reserved for you.

Good to know: Stock can change between adding to the cart and checking out. It is checked again when you place the order.
