Cases, pallets and truckloads

How the three packaging levels relate, how quantities convert between them, and why an option may be missing.

The three levels

LevelMade ofNeeds this data from the supplier
Case (carton)PiecesPieces per case
PalletCasesPieces per case and cases per pallet
TruckloadPalletsAll of the above plus pallets per truck

Example · Worked example

A product has 24 pieces per case, 80 cases per pallet and 33 pallets per truck.

1 pallet = 80 cases = 1,920 pieces.

1 truckload = 33 pallets = 2,640 cases = 63,360 pieces.

Prices

Prices are shown per case. The pallet and truckload options can be priced differently from single cases. See How prices work.

Why an option is missing

An option appears only when the supplier has provided its packaging data. If pallets per truck is missing, the page says truckload isn't offered and suggests requesting a quote for larger volumes.

Tip: Suppliers: add pallets per truck to unlock truckload orders for your product.
